Downtown Detroit Skyline From Windsor - The show before the show

When the lights come on, and there's still ambient blue hour light... The view of Detroit from Windsor is simply breathtaking! This shot was taken literally minutes before the amazing fireworks show would begin, and is probably my favorite of the group of photos I took on this day. This portrait of our great city was taken without filters. I used my trusty old Canon 6D and a Tokina 11-16 F2.8 lens at 16mm/F10 for 21 seconds. Downtown Detroit's Skyline from Windsor - The Moody Blues

Here's a blue hour rendition of the Downtown Detroit skyline as seen from Dieppe Gardens in Windsor Ontario. This shot was taken and by Jeff just minutes before the 2017 fireworks show was to start. For the photography buffs out there, this was taken with a Canon EOS 6D and a Tokina 11-16 F2.8 (yes, it's an APS-C lens but... It works well as a 16mm prime on Full Frame) :) This is a 3 minute exposure.

Detroit-Windsor Skyline at Night from Belle Isle

This lovely photograph shows off the best possible angle you can get while trying to view both the Detroit and the Windsor Skylines together. You can see the lovely Ambassador Bridge aglow in the background, as well as a ship that was anchored outside of Downtown Detroit. This photograph was taken during the Christmas season, so one of the buildings even has a Christmas Tree light show set up and seen in this photo as well. Downtown Detroit, Windsor, Ambassador Bridge - A Still Night on the Isle.

On a still, and slightly foggy night in Detroit, our last stop was the beautiful state park of Belle Isle. This is my favorite shot from that spot, taken before a freighter rolled by and killed our glassy water.

Little Sable Point Lighthouse Vortex

This is a photograph that is comprised of 2 individual shots. 1 shot is with the star trails that you see swirling around, and the other, is just a shot of the lighthouse, and the stars, without any movement.
